Premier League Format
Format as of 21/02/2022:
- At the close of entries, we have received 26 teams across 5 Divisions.
- Division 1-4 will be a 3 person teams format, teams may have a max of 5 rotating players and will play 9 singles matches only each round. Each match will be the best of 5.
- Division 5 will be a 2 person teams format, teams may have a max of 4 rotating players and will play 4 singles matches + 1 doubles only each round. Each match will be the best of 7.
- In a 3 person team format, teams that have more than 3 members will need to decide which 3 players will be playing that night. In a 2 person team format, teams that have more than 2 members will need to decide which 2 players will be playing the 4 singles; any combination of players may play the doubles, however.
- Matches will be allocated to one of 24 tables with spare tables available for use.
- Matches begin at 7:30 pm and must be finished before 11 pm - typically finishing time is anytime after 10 pm. If you feel as though you are running late, please use one of the spare tables available for use.
- The TTV Premier League will be held under ITTF, TTA, and TTV regulations and by-laws and the current Table Tennis Laws where the ITTF Handbook will be used as the authority. Any rule defined in the TTV Premier League that is a modification of the ITTF Rules & Regulations will be given precedent.
