Victorian Table Tennis - A COVID Safe - UPDATE

Dear Affiliates,
It is wonderful news that Victoria will move to a COVID Safe Summer.
The current legal instrument, Restricted Activity Directions (Victoria) (No 11), came into force at 6:00 pm on 26 March 2021 and replaced the previous version. A copy can be found at the link below:

A summary of restrictions as they impact community sport, including table tennis, are detailed below:
Indoor physical recreation and community sport:
- permitted for all ages
- no patron caps with a density quotient of 1 per 2 square metres for each space.
- signage must state the number of people permitted inside
- wipes and disinfectant must be supplied for use by patrons
- Electronic record-keeping via the Services Victoria QR Code Application is mandatory
- venues with a capacity of greater than 500 patrons (i.e. 2000 sqm) must publish a COVID Safe Plan online (note the previous template supplied by TTV)
- masks are not compulsory, though caution is advised, especially in situations where social distancing may be compromised
- patrons to try and stay 1.5m away from each other
