Victorian Open kicks off a week of Table Tennis action in Traralgon

For the third year running, Table Tennis Victoria is thrilled to have the bustling regional city of Traralgon hosting the 2025 S-Trend Victorian Open on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 April.
With an uplift in prize money, Victoria’s most prestigious event will be held at the Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Stadium (GRISS) showcasing top-tier table tennis talent in the sports centenary year.
In an exciting development for 2025, the close to 350 entrants in the Victorian Open will come from across Australia with National Pathways Programs and the Table Tennis Australia Tour competition taking place at the same venue from 7 to 13 April.
With Table Tennis Victoria celebrating their centenary in 2025, prizemoney has been increased with the following amounts on offer for entrants from Under 15 to Over 85:

Open Singles: $1000 for Winners, $500 for Runners-Up, $200 for Semi-Finalists

Aged & Para Singles: $80 for Winners, $40 for Runners-Up

Division Singles: $60 for Winners, $30 for Runners-Up

Open Doubles & Mixed Doubles: $40 for Winners, $20 for Runners-Up

Aged Doubles & Mixed Doubles: $30 for Winners, $15 for Runners-Up
With significant prize money on offer, the 2025 Victorian Open promises to be an exhilarating tournament, attracting elite players, enthusiasts, and spectators alike.
With Traralgon's impressive sporting heritage and state-of-the-art facilities, it serves as an ideal home for this exciting competition.
"We are very excited to host our Centenary Victorian Open in Traralgon. With two years' experience hosting events at the Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Stadium, we know it will be the perfect location for this very special year." said Gen Dohrmann, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Table Tennis Victoria.
"We are impressed with the talent we have been able to attract with over $10,000 of prizemoney on offer across our two-day event and we are also pleased to see Table Tennis Australia recognising the benefits of the venue and holding events there in the subsequent days making it a feast of table tennis."
The S-Trend Victorian Open will see 193 Senior, Para and Veterans players vying for Victorian Champion titles on Saturday 5 April with 146 Junior players competing for coveted titles and valuable ranking points on Sunday 6 April.
The 2025 Victorian Open marks the third year of Table Tennis Victoria's award winning eight-year event agreement with City of Latrobe and Destination Gippsland which also includes holding the annual King’s Birthday Country Championships at GRISS.
