Victoria cleans up at the 2023 Nationals in Sydney

From the 2nd - 9th July the 2023 National Championships were played out at Olympic Park Stadium in Sydney for an incredible week of the best table tennis Australia has to offer.
This year’s Nationals saw 122 Team Vic players competing, with over 500 total competitors and all 8 States/Territories being represented. The players were distributed across 4 Para Teams, 4 Senior Teams, 3 Youth Teams, and 18 Junior Teams, not to mention the Victorian players selected for Presidents Teams.
Team Vic’s State Team Head Coach David Powell was incredibly proud of the athlete’s success throughout the week, showcasing the next generation of Australian champions.
“All of our teams and players performed fantastically throughout the week achieving numerous bronze, silver, and gold medals in a majority of the categories.”
“These terrific results across the broad spectrum of events are a testament to a few things... how well all the players have prepared throughout this year along with the great work of our team and coaches who have come along to support our athletes.”

A huge congratulations goes out to all our Team Vic athletes who received a Best Player Award, contributing to 14 awards out of a possible 20 for the competition.
In particular a special mention goes out to Aditya Sareen, Connie Psihogios, and Qinle Alice Xia for winning the Best Player Award in multiple categories.

TTV would like to give a huge thank you to Table Tennis Australia for running the event, and the staff at the Sydney OIympic Park Stadium for hosting over 500 competitors throughout the week.
TTV would also like to thank all the competitors and their families who made the trip up to Sydney for the week to represent and cheer on Victoria.
