We sadly announce that former TTV State Representative and Coburg player Roy Cintolo passed away last week. TTV would like to extend our deepest condolences to Roy's friends and family.

Roy represented Victoria in 1963 & 1964 with an 8-4 win/loss record. He was ranked in Victoria five times from 1962-1966, with his highest ranking being #2 in 1964.

He won two Victorian Open mixed doubles titles with Suzy Javor (1964 & 1966).  He was runner up in the Victorian Open Mens Doubles with John Nicholson in 1966, and at a National level he was runner up in the Australian Open mixed doubles with Suzy in 1964.

He was also the leading player in A grade pennant in 5 consecutive seasons - two winter and three summer pennants, which was an outstanding achievement.  He played for Coburg and with team mates John Nicholson and Jim Kilderry winning two winter A grade premierships and numerous summer A grade premierships.

He also won a number of open tournaments including the Metropolitan, Croydon, Traralgon, Wonthaggi and Warrnambool Opens.

Roy was coached by Karol Javor and was one of the very first players to learn and master the loop drive.

R.I.P Roy.
