Vale Bin Baba
Published Tue 23 Feb 2016
Sadly, Bin Baba has passed away at 6am this morning.
Bin was a founding member and tireless worker at Sunbury & DTTA being President, Treasurer, Secretary and committee member (and sometimes it seemed he was doing them all at once!)- his efforts have gone towards making the Table Tennis club the great success it is today.
Bin's wife - Pauline - has made a request that the Table tennis club has an honour guard of table tennis players at his funeral - wearing club shirts - perhaps holding a bat? If you are interested in being in the honour guard please send Richard an email at hawkeye@primus.com.au
Funeral arrangements:
The Funeral Service of Baharum Bin Baba will be held at Tobin Brothers Chapel, 22 Barkly Street (corner of Brook Street), Sunbury on Thursday 3 March 2016 at 2.00 p.m. – (next week)
A Private Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stroke Association of Victoria. Envelopes will be available at the Chapel.
There will afternoon tea afterwards in the Uniting Church Hall in the Village Green (directly opposite Tobin Brothers) to which you are all invited.
I have spoken to the funeral arranger and at the end of the service the Celebrant will announce that the people in the guard of honour are to leave the chapel. Outside the chapel the funeral directors will arrange us up into the honour guard and then the coffin will be carried out by the family to the hearse. The hearse will then drive off.
Wear your club shirt if you are going to be in the honour guard.
There will be sympathy cards to sign this Thursday night – please keep your messages short on these cards otherwise we will run out of room!
