UPDATED RETURN TO PLAY PRINCIPLES

Published Fri 26 Jun 2020

Dear Affiliates,

Please note our updated Return to Play plan (attached and link below) which has been approved by Sport & Recreation Victoria.

TTV COVID-19 Page

We are pleased to advise that some previously advised restrictions have now been lifted, specifically:

  • Players are now able to play in multiple venues and across various clubs.
  • Cleaning requirements have been relaxed around ball and table cleaning between matches.
  • Communal changing facilities can now be used.
  • Catering facilities can be used in limited circumstances.

Please note:

  • Caution should still be exercised, especially amongst those in vulnerable categories.
  • The 20-person limit still applies to both juniors and seniors, though those with larger venues may be able to divide spaces into separate zones.
  • No Doubles play is permitted.
  • Members are still advised not to share equipment.

Please read the amended Return to Play plan to ensure that you are familiar with its detailed contents.

You should also check with any relevant facility operator, as they may have requirements which are specific to your venue.

As the COVID-19 pandemic situation is fluid, directions from the Victorian Government may change with very little notice – it is important that you regularly check the TTV website for any updates.

You should treat the current Return to Play plan (as contained on the TTV website) as the most accurate and appropriate document. It is specific to table tennis in Victoria and has bene approved by the Victorian Government, rather than generic advice that may be found elsewhere.

Kind Regards,

Ritchie Hinton

Chief Executive Officer
