Team Vic is bound for Sydney for the 2023 National Championships!

The 2023 National Championships will be held at Olympic Park Stadium, in Sydney, from 2-9 July. With 122 Team Vic players ready to battle it out in New South Wales.
This year’s Nationals is set to be a fantastic event, with over 500 competitors taking part and all 8 States/Territories being represented.
The team will see 77 Males and 45 Females including 9 Para, 18 Senior, 10 Youth, and 85 Juniors pulling on the navy blue and teal. The players will be spread across 4 Para Teams, 4 Senior Teams, 3 Youth Teams, and 18 Junior Teams, not to mention the Victorian players selected for Presidents Teams.
With the departure of Claire Montgomery to Table Tennis Australia, TTV sought to find a new Team Manager. Frank Pearce was the resounding choice, with his enthusiasm and want for #TeamVic to gel and work as a team a key value, which will help the squad grow and achieve success across the week.
Pearce is extremely excited to see the team come together.
“We can’t wait to have TeamVIC in action up in Sydney. We’ve had two great training sessions which has seen everyone working together well and having fun. We’re really looking forward to seeing lots of great team spirit and support of each other during the competition.”
Although all players will be eager to win medals, having fun and creating lifelong friendships is just one of the great aspects of a week away together.
State Team Head Coach David Powell is excited to see Victoria's best talent on display.
“For Victorian athletes, the Australian National Championships represent the culmination of a year’s worth of hard work and dedication to table tennis. Competing at this event not only showcases the impressive skills and talent of our Victorian athletes, but also serves as a platform for developing the next generation of Australian champions.”
