Shepparton Veterans Open Review

The 2023 Shepparton Veterans Open was held Sunday the 29th October at Shepparton Sports Stadium and it was a great day of play for everyone who competed.
Claire Montgomery the tournament director for this event shared her praise stating:
“It was fantastic to be back at Shepparton for the first time since 2019 due to Covid and flooding.”
“We always feel very welcomed by the various club members who are either playing or helping out.”
“It really goes to show that even for a smaller Association, they can host an amazing state level tournament.”
Throughout the day there were some great matches played including but not limited to the O50 Women’s Doubles Final where Debbie Wilson & Vicki Carruthers defeated Belinda Strong & Cath Mowbray over 5 sets, and the 040 Men’s Singles Final where John Salem defeated Harson Harrison Huang over 4 sets.
