TTV would like to advise all members and affiliates that the second round of SRV’s Get Active Kids Voucher Program is now open.

More than 10,000 vouchers were snapped up in the first round to help cover the costs of membership and registration fees, sport equipment and uniforms.

Round 1 also opened more doors to sport with numbers showing 27 per cent of children who received a voucher were joining a local sports club for the first time. This wonderful stat shows the real benefit of this program for table tennis clubs. We strongly recommend all club presidents and committees encourage your local community to use this program to pay for something like Spinneroo’s fees or coaching to get involved in table tennis for the first time.

For members, if you know anyone who is thinking about trying table tennis but possibly can not afford to right now please share this information.

Excited about the upcoming round of funding, TTV CEO, Ritchie Hinton said:

“I’m really excited to see this initiative finally arrive in Victoria. During my time at Cricket Australia, I saw the hugely positive impact that similar projects had on junior participation, and I’m sure it can have the same effect on table tennis. Money should never be a barrier for children taking up sport and leading active, healthy lives – this program dilutes that barrier.”

The Get Active Kids Voucher Program helps eligible families get their children involved in organised sport by reimbursing the cost of membership and registration fees, uniforms, and equipment. Eligible children may be able to receive up to $200 each.

To be eligible, children must be Victorian residents, aged 4 to 18 and named on a valid Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card, as well as a Medicare Card.

The Program is being delivered across four Rounds until 15 April 2022. Applications for vouchers in Round 2 of the program open at 10am on Monday 31 May 2021 and close at 5pm on Friday 9 July 2021.
