MSAC Closed

Published Mon 23 Mar 2020

MSAC is now closed to ALL members of the public.

There is no access available for casual table hire.

We will advise if any exemptions are announced, or if there are any further developments specific to MSAC.

See today's full announcement below from MSAC CEO, Phil Meggs:

"Good morning

Last night the Prime Minister announced that all gyms and indoor sporting venues must close from midday today.

We therefore need to comply with the direction and all our venues will close as of noon today, Monday 23 March.
We have sought exemption for athlete training but so far have not been granted that exemption, but we will temporarily allow access to athletes to the outdoor pool and Lakeside track whilst we continue to pursue this.

Your office areas, including Sports House will remain accessible for you via your access swipe.

I appreciate and fully understand this is a challenging situation for you and all sports. What this means in the long term is still very unclear. I have been in constant contact with the government over the weekend, seeking further details, and have spoken with them again just now. I am still awaiting formal advice which should be available post-noon, and will be in contact with further information as soon as I receive any details. I apologise I cannot be clearer but I assure you we are working to provide certainty as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience and I will communicate further soon.
Best regards
Phil"
