Message from CEO-end of year 2016
Published Fri 23 Dec 2016
Dear affiliates and all our members,
It has been a fantastic year for Table Tennis Victoria to finish 2016.
This time last year, our latest strategic plan was formed and we have achieved many objectives from it.
The key objectives achieved were:
· 4454 registered members up to date (increase of 6% from 2015 of 4218), and the highest ever in history.
· At least 40 additional TOPS and Level 1 coaches accredited throughout the year.
· We acquired a new better website that enables members to join online and is user friendly.
· Better gender balance in TTV board (6:3 Male-female from 7:2)
· Acquiring a state development officer part time with the role changing to full time in Feb 2017.
· Additional Hall of Fame categories.
Things to look forward to in 2017:
· A calendar filled with many tournaments across all age groups.
· Mornington TT hosting the 2017 AWD National Championships in February.
· Funding from Sport Recreation and Victoria to increase participation in females, AAA, CALD and seniors.
· No change in membership fees from 2016.
· Hopefully get one or two Victorian representatives on Table tennis Australia board of directors.
Thank you again for supporting our association and being pro-active in encouraging more members in your clubs.
I look forward to continually working with you all to achieve our objectives, and most importantly for all our members
to keep enjoying our sport.
On behalf of TTV, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe new year.
