Nicholas was defeated in his semi-final matchup by the eventual winner, Navid Shams of Iran, but he was able to notch up the win in the bronze medal playoff against Luis Maciel of Portugal to win the bronze medal!

Compatriot Hannah Green (Bendigo/HWATT), was unable to progress beyond the group stage, finishing fourth in her group in the Girls’ Singles.
