Recently Table Tennis Victoria’s Events and Clubs Officer (ECO) Claire Montgomery and Participation and Programs Officer (PPO) Sean Sturrock started hosting the TTV EPIC TT Workshops for Clubs and Associations.

While the original plan for these workshops definitely did not include Zoom meetings, it is great that this initiative has kicked off despite the tough times everyone is dealing with. TTV are very excited to be providing some extra support to our wonderful clubs, with a lot of work being put into this project over the last few months.

"The TTV Clubs and Associations have embraced the EPIC workshops in these unexpected times with great success,” said PPO Sean Sturrock.

“Getting all TTV members up skilled and on board with the SRV funded program is getting all of us ready to resume normal proceedings once restrictions are lifted.”

These workshops have been designed to assist clubs to identify how they are operating in key areas; and provide them with a suite of user-friendly and relevant resources to enhance their capacity to grow the sport locally.

These workshops will hopefully make the table tennis experience better for current members and help get some new players participating in table tennis too.

“It is fantastic to see the enthusiasm of the committees we have met with so far and we are so excited to be rolling out this program for them,” Said ECO Claire Montgomery.

“We look forward to working with each committee and we feel like we are making volunteer life that little bit easier by having this program.”

The governing section of the EPIC TT Workshop will be held in person at the end of the year once more COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.

Table Tennis Victoria are extremely excited to watch this program roll out to all Clubs and Associations and hopefully make a positive impact on our sport.

These workshops will not only provide knowledge and resources, but also give value back to the Clubs and Affiliates who put in so much work to make table tennis a great sport that we all love and we are keen to continue providing as much support as we can.
