Summary

A 3-stage process (A, B and C) is described.

We are currently at Stage A, which is effectively no organized sport.

Stage B and C and how it relates to table tennis are referred to especially at page 8 of the summary document.

Stage B can be interpreted as a return to small scale play, noting the cap on groups of 10. Likely to involve singles only play, with precautions including the use of sanitizers and individual balls.

Stage C describes a resumption of normal activities – full halls and tournaments.

There are no time-frames set for a when Stages B and C may be reached, though the current state of emergency expires on May 11 and it is realistic to expect further guidance no later than then.

We also need to be mindful that Federal and State directions may potentially over-lap and involve contradictions which we may need to seek further clarification upon.

We ask that you remain patient at this time, and bear with us as we navigate these unpreceded times.

We will continue to provide updates as and when we receive them. Our priority remains to protect the health of our members and adopt a ‘no risk’ approach.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS ISSUED AS AN INFORMATION UPDATE ONLY – NOTE: NO PLAY IS CURRENTLY ALLOWED IN ANY INDOOR CENTRE

Kind Regards,

Ritchie Hinton,

CEO, Table Tennis Victoria
