Competition Eligibility - Up to Date Membership

Published Thu 02 May 2019

PLAYERS – Have you paid your annual membership fees?

AFFILIATES – Have you updated your members in the TTV database?

Further to the email that was sent out ahead of the recent Victorian Open Junior tournament, we would like to provide a reminder to all individuals and Affiliates of the process via which players need to be registered on the TTV database.

Affiliates:

Reminder of the instructions for the database: https://www.tabletennisvic.org.au/clubs/memberships/

Reminder of the order to add members:

  1. Add all committee members first (first week of January preferably)
  2. Add all tournament players by the first tournament they play in (basically all tournament players should of been on the system by March 31 2019)
  3. Add all Pennant, Social players and Coaches by the time they have been on a court 3 times in 2019.

This reminder is being sent out at there are still a small number of tournament players that are not on the system yet.

PLAYERS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR STATE TEAMS OR ALLOWED TO PLAY IN ANY TTV TOURNAMENTS IF THEY ARE NOT ON THE TTV DATABASE, AS PER TTV BY-LAWS.

The State Selectors, TTV office and relevant team managers (if applicable) need to be able to contact these players, assure that their insurance is paid, confirm availability and start the process of organizing logistics for various tournaments, trips, etc. If the individual’s details are not properly entered into the system, we have no way of contacting them.

TTV thanks those individuals and Affiliates who have completed the process in a timely manner. If you are unsure whether you have been entered into the TTV database as a current player in your relevant membership bracket, please check with your Club Secretary.

Claire Montgomery from the TTV office is also able to provide assistance to any individual or Affiliate who requires further guidance (email to info@tabletennisvic.org.au).
