Community Sport Short Term Survival Package

Published Thu 25 Jun 2020

Dear Clubs, Leagues and Associations,

From Dunolly Horse Activity Club to the Y Rowing Club in Middle Park, Sport and Recreation Victoria are proud to be getting on with providing a $1,000 boost to hundreds of clubs around the state through their new Community Sport Sector Short-term Survival Package.

This boost is backed by Stream One funding from the package for state sporting associations, regional sports assemblies and academies which recently closed for applications and received strong interest.

The good news is that they are extending Stream Two club applications for funding as well as grants of up to $15,000 are available for eligible associations and leagues until the end of June.

That means even more associations, leagues and clubs in association can access vital funds to maintain their viability and connection to their communities, assist the return to training and play, and support members during the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions.

Did you know your sporting club is eligible for a $1000 grant? It's part of the @VicGovAu Community Sport Sector Short-term Survival Package supporting community sport to #returntoplay Applications open until 30 June: https://bit.ly/2Cc9Njp

With many associations, leagues and clubs around the state set to go back to training and competition thanks to the recent easing of the coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions, together we can make a difference to even more clubs around the state through the program.
