Changes to Victorian COVID-19 Restrictions - 23 June

Following today’s announcement from the Acting Premier and Victorian State Government we are pleased to make an update regarding COVID-19 restrictions across Victoria and what they mean for table tennis activity.

You can read the Metro Melbourne Restricted Activity Directions here and the Regional Victoria RAD here when they are released. They will be in place as of 11.59 pm on Thu 24 June 11.59 pm, and end at 11.59 pm on Thu 8 July.

For summary purposes, please read the over-arching Table of Restrictions to assist.

Regarding table tennis, the following restrictions are now in place:

 

METROPOLITAN MELBOURNE & REGIONAL VICTORIA

- Limited to 300 people per indoor space.

- Spectators are allowed for community sport, within venue and space limits.

- QR code sign-in using the Government system is mandatory (paper sign-in must be available for those with no suitable electronic device).

- Masks are mandatory at all times indoors when not playing.

- Use of shared equipment is discouraged, with the cleaning of such equipment required if in use.

- Good hygiene to be practiced at all times – wash hands, use hand sanitizer, cough into the elbow, etc

 

If your club uses a shared facility or council building, please check with your LGA regarding the restrictions and requirements for your venue.
