First Round Recipients Automatically Considered For Round 2 Grants

Following the announcement of a second round of the Community Sport COVID-19 Short-term Survival Program, we are pleased to advise that organisation's which benefitted from the first round will automatically be considered for a second grant of $500, in addition to the funding you have already received through the program.
In accordance with the application guidelines, your organisation will not be required to submit a new application. Instead, please note the following:
- If your organisation still meets the program eligibility criteria, no further action is required on your part. Sport and Recreation Victoria will proceed with your payment.
- If your organisation no longer meets the program eligibility criteria, or your organisation does not require the additional funding, please email SRVGrants@sport.vic.gov.au, by 5 pm, 24 September 2020 to update them on your situation. Following receipt of this email, Sport and Recreation Victoria will withdraw the automatic payment.
For organisations who continue to meet the eligibility criteria, payment will be issued automatically to the bank account you nominated for your first payment. You will receive a confirmation by email once payment has been issued.
Organisations receiving this second payment are reminded of the following conditions of funding:
- Financial support will be provided to assist the organisation to remain operational during the eligibility period and to support readiness to return-to-play in adherence with Victorian Chief Health Officer restrictions and advice. - Funding can be used for fixed costs (e.g. rent/utilities/insurance), essential salary costs (excluding match/player/coach payments) and any other costs that keep the club viable and ready to function once restrictions ease, and
- Funding can also be used to purchase equipment and cleaning supplies necessary to comply with coronavirus (COVID-19) Return to Play requirements.
