5 Victorian players have qualified for the Australian Table Tennis Team for the Commonwealth Games, to take place on the Gold Coast in April 2018.

Heming Hu, David Powell, Melissa Tapper, Jian Fang Lay and Miao Miao all booked their place on the team following the Commonwealth Games qualifying tournament, which was held last week on the Gold Coast, featuring the best talent in Australia.

Hu, Powell, Tapper and Lay all qualified following the first Round Robin phase, while Miao joined them after the second round robin qualifying phase.

We are excited to have such a strong representation of Victorians at the games, and wish them all the best in the coming months with their training and preparation!
