The highly anticipated 2024 S-Trend Victorian Open is nearly here! 

Scheduled to take place from April 6th – April 7th, the 2024 Victorian Open promises to be an exhilarating tournament, attracting elite players, enthusiasts, and spectators alike. With Traralgon's rich sporting heritage and state-of-the-art facilities, it serves as an ideal backdrop for this exciting competition. 

"The Victorian Open represents the pinnacle of table tennis in our state, and we are delighted to bring this event to Traralgon," said Andrew Weiss, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Table Tennis Victoria. "This is an excellent opportunity to showcase the incredible talent and passion for table tennis that exists in regional Victoria." 

"We are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere at the Victorian Open, where players and spectators alike can come together to celebrate their love for table tennis," added Andrew. 

"Latrobe City Council is delighted that Traralgon is hosting this year’s Table Tennis Victoria Open, a highly anticipated event,” stated Latrobe City Mayor Cr. Darren Howe. “Sporting events such as this attract people from all over the state to Latrobe City providing our community with an opportunity to showcase our region as a major sporting destination.”  

“Hosting this event also allows the Traralgon Club and other Gippsland Clubs to compete on their home turf. Best of luck to all local competitors!” 

Latrobe City Mayor Cr. Darren Howe will also be in attendance to open the tournament at 8:50 am on Saturday.

GRISS does not open until 8am on Saturday and Sunday, please do not try to get into the Stadium before the opening hours. 

Reminder that for the group stages, a table number will be written on the draw and players are to proceed to their allocated table at the appropriate time. If all players are present, start your first match straight away. If 1 player is missing, start the next available match straight away and send a parent/other person back to the tournament control desk to let us know. Do not delay starting a match more than 10min past the start time.  

Reminder for knockout matches, players are to come to the tournament control desk to collect their scoresheet, ball, pen and their opponent before proceeding to the table. Do not leave the desk until both you and your opponent are there. Please also collect an umpire for your match on the way to your court.
