Published Mon 24 Jun 2024
Last Friday the 21st of June, Table Tennis Victoria ran their first Corporate Cup of the year, with resounding success.
With 16 teams entered and a total of 80 participants involved, it matched the 2023 number of entrants, taking up all the tables at MSAC for a day of fun, networking and competition.
The day kicked off at 2:00pm with a welcome by TTV CEO Andrew Weiss followed by a briefing of the tournament by Participation & Marketing Officer Noah Newnham.
Teams competed in two round robin competitions, followed by a gold medal and third place finals match. Each match consisted of two doubles matches and a singles match.
It was a great day of table tennis with everyone giving it their best shot to be crowned June Corporate Cup Champion for 2024.
Coming into the finals, the gold medal was to be battled for between CSIRO and the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM). After an intense match, it was BOM who were crowned 2024 June Corporate Cup Champions!
The third place match was hotly contested between JR Group / Practical Enterprise Group and NCS Australia, with NCS Australia coming out on top to claim the bronze medal.

“It was fantastic to have MSAC packed, with all tables in use, seeing corporates battling it out and enjoying some friendly competition,” said TTV CEO Andrew Weiss.
“It's great to see corporate companies seeing the social benefits it has for their employees, to get them out of the office having a hit of table tennis.”
Table Tennis Victoria would like to thank all the businesses for entering and competing on the day and to our interns Fu Chang and Liam Brauer for entering scores and results across the day.
