The annual Spur Afrika Charity Tournament will be held at Kilsyth Stadium on Sunday the 15th of January 2023. The Spur Afrika tournament has been organised by the Balwyn United Table Tennis Club every year since 2015 with Croydon's Greg Bristowe taking the reigns and organising the event for 2023 on behalf of Balwyn United's Felix Kung.

Spur Afrika is a locally run Kenyan charity that equips children and young adults in Kenya's Kibera slum through school scholarships, career training and mentorships. They also play a role in school programs, medical clinics, research and development and community leaders training.
