The 2023 Dandenong Veterans Open is nearly here! 

The Open competition will take place this Sunday the 13th of August between 9:00 am- 6:00 pm at the Greater Dandenong Table Tennis Association. The address is 1510B Heatherton Road, Dandenong VIC 3175. 

Following the Victorian Closed Veterans Championships remarkable success last month, the excitement turns to the Greater Dandenong Table Tennis Association where our Veterans will once again hold the spotlight. There will be tough competition throughout the day across the different age groups, with our veterans keen to take out some wins in the singles only categories. 

Dandenong Treasurer Greg Robbins shared a few thoughts expressing the club’s excitement for the tournament:  

“We are looking forward to hosting our veteran’s tournament, the first tournament in the TTV State Tournament Circuit for qualification towards the Veterans Nationals 2024.” 

“Just a reminder to players that most of the car parking at our stadium has a 3-hour time limit, although car parks in the far park are all day parking.” 

“There will be free tea, coffee and biscuits provided on the day, however we have limited hot food (just noodles). There should be hot food available next door in the Oasis swimming centre.”
