The 2023 Albury Wodonga Veterans Open took place on Saturday November 25th & Sunday November 26th and it was a great tournament for all who made their way to Albury for the weekend.  

AWTTA Club President Terry Caldwell shared some thoughts about the competition stating: 

“There was a 60% increase on last year’s numbers and the two days ran close to schedule on fourteen courts. This is mainly due to the tournament director being on his game, and the players cooperating with some flexibility.” 

“The was an increase in AWTTA players numbers too, and the locals were pleased to chalk up three win and eight runners-up.” 

“Greg Bristowe, the tournament director, declared court #1 to be the Mark Glynn Memorial Court, because he played in so many finals on that court.” 

“Some players declared that they would be back for the food! They enjoyed the food from the club’s canteen as well as the food and camaraderie at the Saturday Dinner held at the Albury Commercial Golf Club.”
