Table Tennis Victoria is excited to announce and congratulate our 2022 revolutioniseSPORT TTV Player Award finalists.

All of these finalists have been decided by the Table Tennis Victoria State Selection Panel based on their results during 2022 and have been endorsed by the Table Tennis Victoria Board. 

Congratulations to all of our finalists for the various award categories.

Coburg Award – Junior Male & Female athlete of the Year

The Coburg Junior Player of the Year Award is given to the best male and female junior player of the year. This award is donated by Coburg Table Tennis Club.

Male Finalists: Nicholas Lum, Finn Luu & Aditya Sareen  

Female Finalists: Sanaya Buddhadasa, Connie Psihogios & Victoria Zhang             

French Award – Senior Male & Female athlete of the Year

The French Senior Player of the Year Award is given to the best male and female senior player of the year. This award is donated by Vic French who was President of the Victorian Table Tennis Association from 1968- 73 and a Life Member of the Association.

Male Finalists: Sanish Ambekar, Dillon Chambers & Nicholas Lum

Female Finalists: Jian Fang Lay, Li Na Lei & Qian Yang

Sokolowski Award – Veteran Male & Female athlete of the Year

The Sokolowski Veteran Player of the Year Award is given to the most creditworthy male and female veterans players of the year. This award is named after Ted Sokolowski who was a fine table tennis player, and a wonderful person. Ted came up through the junior ranks and was a member of Junior, Senior and Veterans Victorian State Teams.

Male Finalists: Brian Berry, Craig Carter & Simon Johnson

Female Finalists: Cheryl Huang, Jeanne Strong & Debbie Wilson

Rosario Award – Para Male & Female athlete of the Year

The Rosario Para Player of the Year Award is given to the best male and female para player of the year. This award is named after the Rosario family, an award which recognises the contributions made by Prisca Rosario, Eric Rosario and Alois Rosario to the sport of table tennis in Victoria.

Male Finalists: Rory Carroll, Ma Lin & Samuel Rizkella

Female Finalists: Rebecca Julian, Li Na Lei &, Qian Yang
