2021 Local Sports Infrastructure Fund Now Available for TTV Clubs

Published Mon 01 Mar 2021

We are excited to bring TTV Clubs and Associations an opportunity to work with State and Local Government to receive funding to improve the infrastructure of club venues.

Please act quickly as the application process for this funding closes at 5pm on March 22, 2021 and clubs will be required to contact and work with their LGA to submit an application

(note that only LGA’s can submit applications).

The 2021 Local Sports Infrastructure Fund (LSIF) is a state-wide competitive Victorian Government investment program that funds the development of high quality, accessible community sport and active recreation infrastructure. The LSIF is administered by Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV) and promotes partnerships between the Victorian Government, Local Government Authorities (LGAs), Alpine Resort Boards (ARBs) and sporting clubs, associations, leagues, and other entities.

Community organisations are advised to contact their LGA or ARB about timelines and processes for expressions of interest as soon as possible if interested.

Funding from the 2021 LSIF is available under the five streams listed below.

  1. Better Indoor Stadiums Stream – This supports new and/or redevelopment of multi-sport indoor stadiums and courts.

  1. Female Friendly Facilities Stream - This stream supports the development of new and/or redevelopment of existing infrastructure that enables more women and girls to participate in sport and active recreation.

  1. Community Sports Lighting Stream - This stream supports the installation of new or redevelopment of existing sports lighting infrastructure that is sustainable and results in increased facility capacity and participation opportunities.

  1. Facilities for Active Seniors Stream - The stream supports the development of new or redevelopment of existing infrastructure to become inclusive and age-friendly to encourage more Senior Victorians (60 years or older) to participate in sport and active recreation.

  1. Scoreboards and Fixed Equipment Stream - The stream supports the installation of new scoreboards and fixed equipment to support volunteer efforts, participant safety, participant, or visitor experience

For a more detailed outline of each of these funding streams and to view each of the assessment criteria questions please see section 4 of the 2021 LSIF Guidelines document here.

“The Local Sports Infrastructure Fund is a great opportunity to clubs to partner with their LGA to super-charge any shovel-ready projects they have been planning.

The project does not have to be a complete stadium build – the community sports lighting stream may be of particular interest to many clubs”.

We would also like to advise that Maccabi TTC member, Ken Pedlow, is available to assist with the planning and installation of new LED lights for your club’s venue through his business. *

Please contact Ken at ken@nexgenenergyaudits.com.au to discuss options for your venue.

*TTV is not connected with Ken Pedlow’s business in any way, and does not receive a commission on any work undertaken by him or his company.  Affiliates are able to partner with any company they see fit to assist them.
