2020 TTV Junior Scholarship Fund Applications Now Open
Published Fri 14 Feb 2020
As announced back in 2019, Table Tennis Victoria are delighted to have partnered with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) to create the TTV Junior Scholarship Fund, now also wonderfully supported by our apparel partner, S-Trend, who are contributing a percentage of certain sales to the Fund.
Partnering with ASF allows TTV to attain the full benefits of charitable foundation status, which importantly includes giving all donations a tax-deductible status.
The Fund is geared around providing support for junior entry level pathways, and development opportunities for elite Victorian juniors.
Thanks to donations and the support from S-Trend we are pleased to announce that we are now ready to start accepting applications for 2020 junior scholarships up to $500.
Applicants must be current financial members of TTV and have been financial members in 2019. Applicants must also be 18 or under on the 31st December 2020, plan to commence their funded activity before June 30th this year and be prepared to contribute to any proposed costs.
TTV is confident that this is a great step towards the continued growth and development of our great sport. Hopefully these activities will elevate Victoria’s elite junior athletes to new levels, cementing Victoria’s status as the leading table tennis state in the country.
“Ever since the ASF confirmed the arrangements for organizations such as TTV to partner with them, and benefit from their profile and platforms, I was very keen to get the ball rolling as soon as possible,” said TTV CEO Ritchie Hinton.
“In this increasingly competitive leisure landscape, it is more important than ever that sports do all that they can to encourage junior participation and development.
“This is the first time that TTV have been able to contribute financially to assist individual athletes and supplements the High-Performance program which also kicked off in 2019.”
To apply please fill in the application form attached and apply by 28th February 2020.
