TTA has advised the new dates for the four National tournaments:

•     Para: 11 – 14 December 2020
•     Seniors & Youth: 13 – 20 December 2020
•     Juniors: 13 – 20 December 2020
•     Veterans: 28 November – 5 December 2020

Clearly, the original 2020 Tournament Calendar has been severely disrupted, meaning that the usual selection criteria will need to be amended in order for State Teams to be selected.

A revised 2020 Tournament Calendar for the remainder of the year has been produced - please keep in mind this is a 'work in progress' calendar and may vary based on COVID-19 restrictions.

TTV will use its best endeavours to ensure any changes are communicated as efficiently as possible, but note that the situation is fluid and any such notice may be very limited.

A statement from the TTV State Selection Panel in regards to the Selection Criteria for 2020:

SENIORS, YOUTH & PARA

As the Senior, Youth & Para Nationals were scheduled for earlier in the year, the selection period was completed, and teams were selected and announced. 

However, the change of scheduling means players who previously intended to participate may not be available and this event is now scheduled for the same time as the Junior events. This means that players who nominated for senior selection may wish to choose to play in the Junior event.

Therefore, it is a requirement that all players selected for the current team and any players wishing to be considered for the 2020 Senior, Youth & Para Nationals must complete a NEW Senior/Youth/Para Availability Form by 31 August 2020.

The teams will stay as originally selected.  However, the Selectors may make any adjustments required due to availability, taking into account the following:

•     A player meeting the eligibility criteria
•     State Team Points
•     Rating Central Points
•     2019 National Results
•     Previous performance at State and National tournaments

JUNIORS AND VETERANS

As the Junior & Veterans selection period was interrupted, the minimum number of tournaments will be reduced to three (3) for Juniors and zero (0) for Veterans.

Any players wishing to be considered for the 2020 Nationals must complete a NEW Availability Form by 31 August 2020. (Juniors Form, Veterans Form)

The Selectors will consider the following when selecting teams:

•     A player meeting the eligibility criteria
•     State Team Points
•     Rating Central Points
•     2019 National Results
•     Previous performance at State and National tournaments
