The Dandenong Junior and Senior Open tournaments were held over the Easter weekend which produced surprising results. The main one being the men's open winner, George Pittas taking the title from the newly Olympic qualifier Heming Hu in 4 straight sets. Miao Miao won the women's singles defeating Berry Hsueh. The juniors were dominated by Parleen Kaur in both the u/13 & u/15 singles girls events and Chrysela Gracias taking the u/18 girls. Tasmania's Xavier Dixon won the u/18 boy's event while Dandenong's own Dylan Nguyen took the u/15 boys. Finn Luu from HWATT won the u/13 boy's event. The successful tournament which produced 85 entries in the juniors and 100 entries from the seniors was conducted smoothly by Brett Sonnet, Dennis Ho and other volunteers.
