Member Protection Information Officer

Member Protection Information Officer

This is following on from the Member Protection Policy

There are 2 parts to becoming an MPIO, an online course and a face-to-face workshop.

Steps to acheive the EPIC.TT "MPIO Badge"

Step 1:

Be appointed by your Club/Association Committee as the Member Protection Information Officer

Step 2:

Study the Member Protection Policy of your Club/Association, TTV and TTA

Step 3:

Go to the Play by the Rules website and complete the 'MPIO Online Course'

https://www.playbytherules.net.au/online-courses/mpio-online-course

Step 4:

Send a copy of the online course completion certificate to your Club/Association Secretary and TTV Office.

Step 5:

Attend a MPIO face-to-face workshop. Some councils and RSA's host the MPIO workshop regularly, other's don't. But don't worry, the TTV MPIO is a qualified trainer, so if you can't find a local workshop to attend, TTV will be hosting workshops as needed. Please contact the TTV Office if there isn't a local alternative.

Step 6:

Send a copy of the workshop completion certificate to your Club/Association Secretary and TTV Office.

Step 7:

TTV will issue an EPIC.TT Child Safe Officer Certificate upon receipt of both certificates

Step 8:

Download the MPIO Poster template below, fill in your details, print and put up on walls around your Club/Association

Step 9:

Be approachable around your Club/Association. People will want to come up and talk to you - just remember you are there to listen and prove unbiased information that is available in the Member Protection Policy - not to judge or investigate.
