Hot Weather Guidelines

Hot Weather Guidelines

Steps to acheive the EPIC.TT "HWG Badge"

Step 1:

Download the Hot Weather Guidelines & Posters below and make sure each of your committee members has a copy (or knows where to download it from)

Step 2:

Have a committee meeting and at the meeting follow these steps:

  • Read through the Guidelines with your committee so that everyone understands it
  • Discuss with your committee if you feel that your Club/Association is operating within the Guidelines and if there are any areas that need improving

Step 3:

Edit the Guidelines to include your Club/Association's name, and formally adopt it at the next Committe meeting

Step 4:

Publish the Guidelines on your website and around the club. You can use the posters provided to put up around the Club/Association

Step 5:

Notify the TTV office that your Club/Association has completed the above steps

Step 6:

Have your whole committee and comptition coordinators download the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) app to be able to keep an eye on the outdoor weather.

http://www.bom.gov.au/app/

We also suggest purchasing an indoor themometer with a humidity gauge to place in the playing area to monitor the conditions where everyone will be playing. Each venue is different (tin shed, insulation, air con, height of rook, air flow) so that your club can make an informed decision.

Step 7:

Add Hot Weather Guidelines  to your committee meeting agendas in hot months and touch on the topic each meeting to ensure that your Club/Association is abiding by the Guidelines.
